Porigami is a sculpture that twinkles like a star ’Big Dipper’
(Otava) and shines like a crown (kruunu). The origami shaped
form reflects its surroundings in different angles and invites
the viewer to play with its different reflections.

Porigami is installed to a surprising location, to the ceiling,
under the balcony structures. The client is private but the
location is accessible to the public, next to a boulevard,
making the sculpture a public art piece for the city of Pori.

The material of Porigami is mirror polished stainless steel.
The form of the sculpture has been created by using steel
bending and welding techniques.

Porigami is a result of a winning in Porin Otavan Kruunu
Art competition 2019.
